		<description>Funny I should stumble across this today.  I&#039;m working on a post for my own blog about The Pit.  As I&#039;m working out what I want to say in my post, I&#039;ve also been thinking about this metaphor that so many of us use when we talk about depression.  The pit, the hole in the ground, always bottomless; and then the floor or the scaffolding that meds provide.  I&#039;d love to know if it&#039;s used in other languages too.</description>
